Yes, the CORE Training Program is separate from of the National Consulting Program, but both are a part of the Business Impact Group. All CORE Participants have the chance to be automatically placed in a client-facing role if their performance meets our standards to continue with us in the following quarter.

CORE participants will gain a thorough understanding of the consulting process and strategies while building foundational skills in Excel, accounting, finance, and marketing. Participants will also develop experience in slide design, public speaking, and research. Finally, several CORE sessions focus on recruitment, interviewing, and professional development.

Participation in the CORE Training Program allows you to acquire essential skills necessary to thrive in consulting engagements: consulting frameworks, finance and accounting fundamentals, market research, data analysis, slide design, and client communication. We offer client-facing roles in the following quarter to CORE Participants who perform well during their training quarter.

The CORE Training Program lasts 7 weeks and starts 1 week after the NCP.

The average weekly expected time commitment is 4-6 hours. Weekly CORE Training sessions are held Mondays from 5:30-6:30 PM and several supplementary "advanced" sessions are held on Fridays (varying times).

Yes, the CORE Training Program replaced the Business Research Program in Autumn 2025. Although you may still see the "BRP" referred to in research reports and Business Impact articles, CORE now offers members the ability to research and present about topics of their interest.
